Doug Monda, Raul Rivas, and Karen Monda recently traveled to Princeton, NJ, where Doug and Karen had the incredible honor of speaking at the Mid-Atlantic Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar (MA-LEEDS) at Princeton University.
Doug shared his powerful story about his career in law enforcement, the mental health struggles he faced, and how those struggles nearly cost him his life. Karen spoke to the impact those challenges had on their relationship and how, through commitment, grace, and healing, they found their way back. Together, they offered real-life tools they still use to face life’s hardest moments side by side.
We are deeply grateful to MA-LEEDS for the warm hospitality and for recognizing the strength in vulnerability. We thank them for believing in the power of transparency and for continuing to open doors for honest conversations around first responder mental health.
